JavaScript Job: JavaScript Technical Lead

JavaScript Technical Lead | £115,000 | React | TypeScript | Hybrid | London | Remote

This household name are looking to grow their tech function and kicking off with this JavaScript Technical Lead position which will be joining an integral part of the business, working closely with the whole team as well as key stakeholders, engineers and other areas of the business.

With over 78,000 people across 1,300 stores and operating in 8 countries these are one of the biggest businesses out there. That being said they have ambitions to become even bigger and continue to improve with technology at the heart of that.

What will you be doing?

You will be leading from the front with technical guidance across multiple teams so will need to have strong experience already leading JavaScript teams as well as being able to get hands on with coding in JavaScript, React, Redux, TypeScript and Node.js.

You will need to have a track record of anticipating technical problems early during the development and finding solutions to overcome them before we encounter challenges in production.

You will lead on and advocate best in class architectural standards, engineering methodologies, as well as Kingfisher's engineering principles.

You will provide recommendations on application designs, analysing design specifications and validating them with the development teams as well as collaborate and produce clear direction to the development teams on the implementation of new systems and features.

Experience required?

• Experience building architectures.
• Experience leading JavaScript and cross functional teams.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and understanding for the benefits of working with Agile.
• Experience working with and writing high quality tests.
• Experience working with product teams

Candidate experience is key and the interview process is really smooth.

1st stage is a with another Tech lead and Engineer which will is there to give you more information about the role requirements and the business as well as find out a little more about you and what you are looking for.

2nd stage is a paired programming exercise which will be with again team members you will be working with every day.

After that you will get an offer and be given the chance to meet with more of the team if you want.
